Equal Employment Opportunity
- EEO law currently recognizes seven protected classes and the Service formally recognizes several others. The EEO protected classes include: race, nationality, belief system, sex, age, disability and EEO involvement. Every employee is a member of a protected class on the basis of race, nationality, creed and sex. The other EEO classes have certain requirements, for example, you must be over 40 years of age to argue age discrimination. For more information regarding EEO or other discrimination please contact an EEO trained steward.
